JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER, in Clinton, NY and various North American

 

General Duties:

The role of the Jr. Project Manager is to assist the Sr. Project Manager in planning, executing, monitoring and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget in a field setting.  The Jr. PM will assist in the following tasks and successful candidates will hold the following prerequisites and will be evaluated by our core competencies.

 

Tasks: 

v     Assume the role of Project Manager in his absence.

v     Work effectively with company management personnel to develop efficient project strategies.

v     Interface with site customer personnel to coordinate work activities.

v     Maintain all project documentation and reports.

v     Delegate work loads and coordinate with Foreman on site.

v     Directs and coordinates field maintenance and crew support activities.

v     Make decisions affecting personnel and equipment as changing conditions dictate.

 

Prerequisites:

v     Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.  This is a road warrior position.

v     4 year college engineering degree , business degree and/or

v     2 year construction degree with a minimum of 3 years in the construction industry in a supervisory capacity

v     Ability to work long hours in inclement field environment.

v     Strong computer skills (MS Office Applications).

v     Ability to speak and write clearly.

v     Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout North America.

v     Candidates from the Central New York area will be given preferential consideration.

CREW FOREMAN, in various North American locations

General Duties:

The role of the full-time, traveling foreman is to direct a trenching crew.  A hands on leader that communicates with the Project Manager, directs crew activities and reports on resource utilization.  Foremen execute listed tasks below.  Successful candidates will hold the following prerequisites and will be evaluated by our listed, core competencies.  

 

Tasks

v     Oversee the daily operations of a 10-man crew.

v     Manage crew tasks and workloads to meet timelines.

v     Enforce company safety procedures and OSHA standards

v     Document and report utility installation daily.

v     Maintain crew timesheets and report resource utilization.

v     Enforce company QA policies and techniques

v     Train junior crew members

 

Prerequisites:

v     Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.  This is a road warrior position.

v     High school diploma or equivalent

v     Knowledge of civil construction practices.

v     5 years of previous building experience

v     Ability to work long hours in inclement field environment.

v     Basic computer skills (MS Office Applications).

v     Ability to speak and write clearly.

v     Ability to lift, bend, squat, climb and stand for long periods of time.

v     Experience working with heavy construction equipment (backhoe, bulldozer, etc)

v     Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout North America.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT DRIVER (CDL) and LABORER in Clinton, NY and other other states. 

 

General Duties:

v    Driving various types of heavy equipment with capacity up to and exceeding 30 tons.

v    The driving will be to, from and at the work sites for wind farm construction projects in New York and other various states in the USA for periods of 4 to 6 weeks

v    Work on-site will include supporting the trenching crew in the installation of underground utilities by operating equipment and any other manual duties required.

 

General Requirements, Project Conditions & Compensation:

v    Heavy Highway construction background is preferable.

v    Reference/security check, physical exam, drug test.

v    Must be able to provide routine maintenance and keep records according to state and federal CDL regulations.

v    Must have the physical ability to work as a laborer for 50 to 60 hour work weeks. Out of state medical certificate required.

v    Pre-employment and random drug screening is to be expected. Must be bondable.

v    Job is full time, 7 A.M. to 6 P.M., Monday-Saturday.

v    CDL-Class A required.

v    Compensation negotiable depending upon experience, medical insurance, retirement plan, sick leave, paid holidays.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC needed for a Clinton, New York and other states

 

General Duties:

v    Maintaining and repairing complex hydraulic systems and all diesel engine heavy equipment. Extensive North American travel is required. (4-6 weeks durations).

 

Educational Requirements:

v    Diesel Technology Degree or equivalent experience.

 

General Requirements, Project Conditions & Compensation:

v    Basic knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems and principles.

v    Complete understanding of diesel engine driven heavy machinery.

v    Ability to complete tasks while working alone or with little direction

v    Reference/security check, physical exam, drug test.

v    Must have the physical ability to work for 50 to 60 hour work weeks. 

v    Pre-employment and random drug screening is to be expected. Must be bondable.

v    Job is full time, 7 A.M. to 6 P.M., Monday-Saturday.

v    Proficient is MIG and Stick welding disciplines

v    Compensation negotiable depending upon experience; medical insurance, retirement plan, sick leave, paid holidays.
